Cadillac, MI – Rempco Inc. announced today that it received HUBZone certification through the Small Business Administration. The Historically Underutilized Business Zones – “HUBZone” – program encourages economic development in designated HUBZones by establishing preferences for federal subcontracting opportunities.
Rempco management expects HUBZone certification to improve its competitive position for federal contract awards as well as increase the number of federal contract opportunities.
Rempco was established in 1978 and is leading producer of precision machinery component parts. Beginning with threaded products including lead screws and nuts, the company soon expanded into gear manufacturing to address high customer demand. In 2013 the company was acquired by a Michigan based group of investors committed to building on its excellent reputation.
